Ocean, beach and...

RAIN!!! But at least it was 70 today in Myrtle Beach. Here's a few vacation shots, just for fun and scrapbooking. I'll be spending a few evenings
learning and working on Photoshop. Also I 'd like to try to do my first storyboards that I got from MCP (Multiple Choice Photography). I'll post them when I get them completed.

View from our balcony...Love it, don't want to go home!

This is what a rainy, foggy day at the beach looks like!

Cute Couple

My daughter and her boyfriend.

Downtown

This was a painting under the bridge.

Another painting.

Focus....

is what I was working on today. Along with no tripod, which I went a little carzy on the tilts.

Also took some cool shots of our downtown with my neighbor Kay. It's amazing how many
interesting "urban" things our small town has. It seemed so good to be outside. Thanks Kay!
Downtown pictures coming in the next few days.

Busy week...

I had some Elements 5 tutoring this week from Jodi at Multiple Choices Photography, and
she was wonderful....I would recommend her to anyone needing help. There are so many more options in this program that I didn't know how to use, but now I want to upgrade!
So for now , it's practice, practice, practice...But I can do so much more now with layers and really make the colors pop, and make selections. It's been fun!

Final week of Photography Class, at our instructors home. I can't wait to see his work, set-up,
etc. It has been an honor to study under him. There's another class coming up in a few weeks
and I'll probably be taking it...just because it's a great opportunity, and I've really learned a LOT from him.
Also, hopefully, our little photo group is getting together this weekend to go shoot! I have gotten so much out of this group... It has been such a pleasure to learn with them.

Lindsey, a professional who has been mentoring me, wants me to try shooting more without a tripod because
it's so difficult to get all the angles, and truthfully sometimes it's so frustrating using one!
She has given me some wonderful advice and pep talks.. so that's the other thing I'm working on
besides correct exposure and focusing. I can't thank her enough for the help she has provided,
and she has done some amazing work!

Have a great weekend!

Assignment: RED

So..fire hydrants and my Dad's workshop, Franks Lil Red Barn...
Looks like a have a flare on the bottom picture. Oops!

Next week we go to our instructors home to see his darkroom, photos, and set-up.
He is so talented, I can't wait to see his work.

The next set of classes is a series class...seriously thinking this one over. It would be a good opportunity to complete some ideas.

Lucky me!

I was so fortunate to have a darling young couple let me practice some Maternity shots
yesterday, and it was so much fun! They are an amazing couple, so photogenic and
excited about this baby. I learned that I have a LOT to learn....but I got a few very nice
shots of them. I can't thank them enough for that opportunity. I loved every minute
of it. Good Luck Guys!

Late Homework post for last week...it is

Flowers and plants. So thinking
and wishing for Spring, there's
a few shamrocks, of course.
