Merry Christmas

The best part of Christmas was being with all of my family, plus a Nikon D300! I Love Love Love it! Pictures to follow soon!
Also, working on my calibration.

These dogs were exhausted from christmas, playing with the wrapping paper and fighting over the toys.

Going Crazy...

without my laptop. It's been in for repairs for 2 weeks now, but we found out today it is not repairable so they are sending me a NEW one! That's lucky! It'll be here Tuesday, so I can't wait. My photo cards are getting full and I'm dying to do some processing.

My Daughter...

who also loves cameras, with her new Nikon D70S. She has been my shooting buddy for the last 1 1/2 years and she wanted to have the capability to shoot some more creative images...so here's her new hobby. I have a feeling we'll be shooting a lot together.
She's also been recovering from mono....she had it bad. Missed 4 weeks of school and is still exhausted. But I'm proud of her, she's caught up on the homework for the most part, and even though she's still tired, she makes it through her day.

Right Brain Photography...

Homework for this week was Shells.

Also there is a student/teacher art show coming up at the gallery at the Center For The Arts, and we can display 2 portraits, so I've been going through my pictures {with a little help from my teacher and classmates)and have narrowed it down to 4. For me, it's difficult to see any of my work as good enough to be in a show, but I guess that's what learning is all about. And I absolutly LOVE learning about photography. I'll post them in a few days and let you know which ones I've decided on. Thanks for looking!

It's been a great week!

I've been accepted as a photographer for this amazing organization, the Littlest Heroes project, there is a link under my "favorite sites". I'm so excited by this opportunity to be able to document some memories for these children and their families, and also get the word out about various diseases and illnesses in hopes for a cure. Please check out the link on the right side and if you know of any children or families that could benefit from this, there are photographers all over the country available.

Also...a wedding! A "Double" wedding, no less! I guess this means a new camera...Works for me! I have until July to prepare, so....wish me luck!

It took me a while to set everything up, but they were such good sports. Hope they let me try again, only with dramatic lighting next time. Thanks Mom and Dad!
